Arrival and Admission to the Hospital

On the morning of the operation, have breakfast and come to the hospital with a relative.

On the day of surgery, hospitalization, surgery and post-operative follow-up will take approximately 10-12 hours. For this reason, it would be appropriate for you and your relatives to adjust their schedules accordingly.

Take with you any important medications you have used before.

Bring previous tests with you when you come to the hospital.

After the necessary registration procedures, your arm will be evaluated for the last time by your vascular surgeon and the operation area will be marked.

You will then be admitted to the ward.

Preparations for the operation (blood pressure measurement, ECG, arm cleaning, etc.) will be made in the service.

Some sedating medications may be given to protect you from the stress of surgery.

When it is time for your surgery, you will be taken from your room to the operating room lying on a stretcher.

After you leave the service, your relatives will wait for you to leave the surgery.

There is no need for the patient's relatives to worry during the surgery.  When a significant problem occurs, your surgeon will definitely inform you and your relatives.
