Service Tracking

You will be taken to the service after the operation. In the ward, nurses will take you to your bed and position your arm. In the service, your blood pressure, fistula function, presence of bleeding, hand circulation and pain status will be monitored at regular intervals. Painkillers will be given when you are in pain. ​ There may be some bleeding in the form of leakage at the surgery site. In this case, your dressing will be changed and light pressure will be applied to the operation area. You will be monitored for at least 3-4 hours in the ward, in some cases you may need to spend the night in the hospital.

 Your vascular surgeon will examine you for the last time and decide on the time of discharge and how often your dressings will be done.

Your surgeon may sometimes postpone the dialysis day to a day later so that you can rest. Your surgeon can give you and your dialysis center information about this.

Service nurses will give you training on what to do at home and discharge you.
