You are ready for hemodialysis
If your vascular surgeon decides that your fistula is mature after examination and Color Doppler USG examination, you are now ready for hemodialysis.
Continue vascular access checks every 3 months until you start hemodialysis.
Your nephrologist will evaluate your complaints, tests and examination findings and make the decision to start hemodialysis. In this case, be examined by your vascular surgeon to get approval for use.
Even if you do not have any problems after starting hemodialysis, have your fistula checked by your vascular surgeon once a year.
